Rev Angela Henderson
Rev Angela Henderson is a member of the Bridges UU Board and serves as Chaplain and Congregational Outreach Team Member. She has a strong background in chaplaincy, serving in hospital settings at the Methodist Hospital of Southern California, UC Davis Medical Center, Sutter Memorial and General Hospital, and Lutheran Hospital. She comes to us from Dignity Hospice of Colorado, where she served as Director of Spiritual Care. Rev Angela also served as intern minister at Pacific Unitarian Church in Rancho Palos Verdes, California; Contract Minister at the Universalist Unitarian Church of Riverside, California; and Assistant Minister of Pastoral Care and Social Justice and the First UU Church of Houston, Texas.
As a chaplain, Rev Angela provided spiritual care and crisis support to patients, families, and staff. She completed spiritual assessments and provided care as needed. As a congregational minister, Rev Angela led worship services, crafted and delivered sermons, organized various teams to help focus on mission and vision, and worked close with congregants and local interfaith partners to do internal work, as well as provide public witness in matters of social justice that tie with our Unitarian Universalist values.
