Partnership is More Than Participation

November 2025

As autumn deepens and the world around us turns toward rest, I find myself reflecting on this month’s theme: Gratitude as Resistance. We are grateful for the vibrant, courageous communities that make up our growing network of communities. Each of you carries the work of love, justice, and transformation in your own way, and together, we are building something larger than any one congregation alone may have the resources to do.

An Invitation to Partnership

Partnership is more than participation – it’s belonging. It’s how we live into our covenant to care for one another and to nurture Unitarian Universalism for generations to come. If your community or congregation has not yet become a partner in ministry with Bridges, this season of gratitude is the perfect time to do so. Partnership is an act of covenant; an expression of shared faith and mutual support. By joining as a partner congregation, you help sustain and expand shared resources, trainings, and connections that strengthen our collective Unitarian Universalist movement.

As a Partner Congregation, you will have access to:

  • Monthly worship, reflection, and small group resources aligned with our 2025–2026 theme, Rooted & Rising: Faith for a Changing World.
  • Ongoing learning opportunities and leadership training for religious professionals, and lay leaders.
  • Administrative and ministry tools and resources designed to support congregational sustainability, growth, and creativity.
  • Partner Gatherings designed to be spaces of shared wisdom, worship, and connection with peers across our movement.

Deepening in Our Shared Themes

Our annual theme, Rooted & Rising: Faith for a Changing World, and our monthly themes including Gratitude as Resistance offer a spiritual and theological throughline for worship, justice work, and personal reflection. Congregations and leaders are invited to explore these resources through our website, where you’ll find guidance for worship planning, covenantal leadership, and faith formation.

In gratitude and covenant,
