Love is The Force that Connects Us

As we enter into a new congregational year, I want to extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to each of you. BridgesUU is a community rooted in love, and I am thrilled to see where this journey will take us in the coming months.

Our theme for this year is “Love,” a theme that resonates deeply with the values that bind us together. Love is the force that connects us, that drives our commitment to justice, equity, and compassion. It is the foundation of our work and the essence of who we are as a community.

We begin this year with September’s theme: “Welcome Home.” “Welcome Home” is not just a greeting; it is an invitation to embrace the fullness of our community, to reconnect with one another, and to create spaces where everyone feels valued and included. It is a reminder that BridgesUU is a place where all are welcome – celebrating where you come from, what you believe, or who you love.

This year, as we explore the many dimensions of love, we will deepen our understanding of what it means to truly live out our values. Each month will bring a new focus, guiding us in our efforts to build a more just, compassionate, and inclusive world. I encourage you to engage fully with our themes, to participate in our discussions, and to bring your unique voice to our shared work. Together, we can create a network of love and communities that touch the lives of those in our wider world.
