Day 31. Honoring 31 Days A Celebration of Deaf History.

Reflecting on the Month & Continuing the Journey

“Deaf history is not just about the past; itโ€™s about the present and the future we create together.”

โ€” Unknown

As we close out 31 Days of Deaf History, we reflect on the remarkable stories of trailblazers, advocates, artists, athletes, educators, and visionaries who have shaped the world. From Alice Cogswell, who inspired Deaf education, to Claudia L Gordon, the first Deaf Black female attorney, to Mozzeria, a Deaf-owned business redefining inclusionโ€”each day has been a journey into resilience, creativity, and advocacy.

But our work doesnโ€™t end here. Deaf history is living history, and our responsibility is to keep uplifting Deaf voices, advocating for accessibility, and celebrating the beauty of Deaf culture all year long.

As we move forward, letโ€™s ask ourselves…

๐Ÿ‘ How can we continue to break barriers for Deaf individuals?
๐ŸŒ How can we amplify Deaf voices in our communities?
๐Ÿ’™ How can we ensure Deaf history is recognized, valued, and taught year-round?

Thank you for being part of this journey. Letโ€™s keep the momentum going! ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ’™
