Day 31. Carrying the Fire Forward – Our Shared Resistance.

As October draws to a close, we pause to honor the many stories we have lifted up this month of Two-Spirit elders and ballroom dancers, of land defenders and poets, of youth leading us into futures of justice. These tales of queer courage and Indigenous wisdom remind us that resistance is not only memory; it is a living fire we tend together.
Like the eternal flame of the chalice, resistance is sustained when we share it through song, story, ritual, and solidarity. Each of us carries the spark, but together we build the fire that warms, protects, and illuminates the path ahead.
Love as interdependence is our guide: to stand with one another, to recognize our struggles as interconnected, and to resist not just for survival, but for joy, healing, and liberation.
May we carry this fire forward – into our communities, our movements, and our daily lives, knowing that we are part of a great lineage of resilience and courage.
