Guiding Question: Where is power concentrated in our congregation, and how might we share it more faithfully?
Description: Power can oppress or liberate. In congregations, how we hold, share, and transform power determines the kind of community we become.
Practical Applications: Conduct a power-mapping exercise; review policies with an equity lens; experiment with models of shared or rotating leadership.
A bold new initiative co-created with emerging leaders, dedicated to fostering UU spiritual grounding, creative expression, and cross-congregational connection focused on spiritual resilience, anti-oppression ministry, and community innovation that will assist in understanding how Unitarian Universalism is transforming to meet needs of the larger community.
