Culture & Transformation: Theologies of Liberation (10/13)

Guiding Question: Whose wisdom are we centering in our theology, and whose voices are missing?
Description: Liberation theologies – Black, brown, queer, feminist, decolonial – remind us that salvation is collective, and justice is spiritual. These voices expand Unitarian Universalism’s imagination.
Practical Applications: We will explore liberation theologies in small groups; invite guest preachers from these traditions; ask how liberation theology might shape your justice ministries.
A bold new initiative co-created with emerging leaders, dedicated to fostering UU spiritual grounding, creative expression, and cross-congregational connection focused on spiritual resilience, anti-oppression ministry, and community innovation that will assist in understanding how Unitarian Universalism is transforming to meet needs of the larger community.
